One crazy fun night session with focus on light mood and composition.
My inspirations were Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, Castle in the sky, Destiny, ancient civilizations, etc...
Technically it was workflow test using displacement and aerial perspective in 3ds Max with mental ray, then some photoshop photobashing and paintover magic, I am very happy with the theme and outcome

I love this. It would be amazing to see this in a game or movie. I'm a big fan of cubes as a design element and structure, and while cubes are usually thought of as modern or even futuristic looking, you did a great job making them look like believable ruins. Very nice design.
